I took mit's post as he hunts for food also.
And how do you hunt a chevron? We see them along the road every few miles up here. I believe if you shot at a Chevron (gas station) in Eagle River, someone would return fire.

PS What is a chevron in your area?

Re: You may live in Alaska...
Do you guys in Alaska still have those Buffalos up there in the Big Delta and Copper River areas? Yes. I've never hunted Delta buffalo, but the Copper River herd(s) takes a little more effort to find and get close enough. I hear lots of success stories from Delta hunters, but Copper Basin hunters' ...

Assuming that's intended for me...
I enjoyed my stay in Buffalo, Wyoming. Buffalo folks were friendly, and seems like a nice area to live.
Excuse the off-topic interruption.

After my visits to and through Wyoming, I'm glad we do not have Wyoming's winds.
Living in the Buffalo area is tempting tho.

Re: Top Windows?
I remember seeing pictures of a guy that put skylites in his 170 up in alaska. I thought it was on this site but maybe not? I'll try to find it again. I talked with Robert Trasker (sp?) a few years ago about his nice 170 (with skylights) at Lake Hood. Nice guy and shared his considerable mechanical...

Don't want one, but
seeing a different plane like this throws an attention-grabbing curve in an otherwise straight and narrow day.

You're right, no luck accessing today - Sunday.
+ 1 for Skyvector, especially when using someone else's computer. Such as showing folks the general landmarks and route around Mt. McKinley we'd be flying later in the morning.

Half pilot narrowly dodges clouds
It was too scary, so I turned around about fifty miles from the clouds. Now without the lame sarcasm, the weather was perfect for flying (partway) up Ruth Glacier. Ruth.JPG At the mouth of Tokositna Glacier valley, I tried to get the red creek, blue lake and gray (glacial silt) river in one photo â€...
