O-300-D Install and STC
I'm contemplating the install of a O-300-D engine into my 55 170B. I have read quite a few of the forum threads and see that the STC SA7441SW is avaialble through the Association and that is great. What I can't find the answers to are the questions of whether I can run the engine after removing the ...

Tow Lug Grommet
At the Wyoming convention this year one of the aircraft had tow lugs on the main gear, and what appeared (to me) to be a hard grommet around the inside of the tow attachment point. I have the tow lugs on my bird and would like to do the same. I should have taken a better look, or found the owner and...

Re: Wanted: Bartone Exhaust Extensions (merged topic)
I sent an email to what looks like Sybill Bartone's email address. Haven't received a reply however I sent it this day. Does anyone know if the phone number for Pat Bartone is 866-758-4191? Does anyone have an update from Mr. Bartone? Thanks.

Re: Rudder and elevator repair
I had good luck getter the rudder and elevator skins from McFarlane when I was wanting to freshen up the tail feathers. Airframes by Williams in Indiana did the skinning and they returned better then new as now they are epoxy primed inside and polished outside.

Re: Wanted: Bartone Exhaust Extensions (merged topic)
If a group is gathering up numbers for an order I will buy a set as long as there is a STC to go along with it. I will reach out to Pat Bartone as well. Mike

Re: B.A.S. Inertia-Reel Shoulder Harness
My vote is for the BAS Utility set. I find them easy use, and the shoulder harness stows away if you want to do so. I have not had any issue reaching for the flap handle when the shoulder harness is in place, very smooth. Color selection matched well. Mike

Scott 3200 Tailwheel Centre
Hope I'm not asking a question the has already been answered several times over however I have an issue. I had previously posted an issue I had with the Scott 3200 bushing sleeve on the 3200 head. That was solved with feedback from Bruce and George and when affixing the tailwheel assembly all went w...

Re: Main Tailspring Dilema
Thank You All for the feedback. I did get the bushing sleeve pressed up into the head casting so that it extended above the casting the width of the 1/2 inch I.D. washer. This worked and I mounted the tailwheel assembly utilizing the L-19 Eyebolt and torqued ... however ran into another issue regard...

Re: Main Tailspring Dilema
Good Evening ..I have a question as I'm running into the same issue. I am installing a new spring stack using a Air Repair Inc. provided tie down bolt and bushing to attach the Scott 3200 Tailwheel head to the main spring with the spacer. I installed the bushing first in the 3200 he'd by gently tapp...
