SEB 94-8, 172/175 Horiz Stab Fwd Spar Inspection

Old post....but today I discovered a crack on mine in the same area and additional internal spar damage. I need a new spar part number 0332114 but can’t find one. Any suggestions?

1948 Flap Hinge Horn part number?

I have a 48 170 and need a new flap hinge bracket. The 1948 170 parts manual calls for part number 0520106, the 1949 170A Model calls for part number 0523910; they look identical. Does anyone know if p/n 0523910 superceded 0520106 and is the same part?? There is a 0523910 on EBay that is available. ...

Re: Got her home.

Nice ride. I’m in Brampton, 48 170. I will take a flight to YEE to see the new ride. Did you see Al’s 170 in Cornwall while you were there? No I didn’t, was just in lust with mine didn’t notice anything else  For sure come on up, just let me know ahead of time. Off flying the A320 for a few da...

Re: 1948 Landing Light Service/Repair

I removed mine and the resident electronic expert at my airport fixed it. I also installed an LED bulb. The motor is pretty simple and has two sets of points. With the right guy you can get it operating again.

Re: '48 Fuel Cap Overflowing/Uneven Fuel Burn

On the 48 fuel cap, they have an oring/ dynaseal under the top washer at the handle. If installed under cap when tightened it will separate the seal and allow air to migrate. John Believe it or not that was my thought too. Initially I did installed under the dynaseal and no luck. Still leaked. So I...

Re: Nose Bowl Replacement

FYI, those screw holes for winter plates are not original. Original plates are held on to the back of the grill with J hooks. Guess they were already in your originals and you can't undrill them so your stuck with them. Just thought you should know. Nice work. Yes, and I knew your sharp eye would c...
