Re: Braking with full right rudder

Your guys notice over two years have passed since Gene wrong that post? Doesn't matter, good material. Pushing the rudder pedals shouldn't actuate the brakes at all. The serrated vs smooth brake rods are both susceptible to inadvertent lockage due to maladjustment. In my opinion, this statement is ...

Re: Brake Line Retainer and nice Jack design

Just a warning , if you fit the rubber fairing on the rear of the landing gear leg , jacking the aircraft with the steel bracket Will damage the rubber fairing. The rubber fairing does make a great brake line retainer instead of the clips . The rubber fairing is a great solution. I will be headed d...

Re: Two Different Stabilizer Abrasion Boots

Hi Del. Thanks, I remember that post from earlier this year. I called YingLing and spoke to their parts guy. It sounds like both boots are still available. The 1235040-5 boot is a flat piece of rubber that you have to glue around the edge. The S1938-3-68.00 is the molded boot like you show in the p...

Re: Need Fig.25-24, p/n 0512108-5 Bulkhead Assembly Angle -

Well dang it. I missed an opportunity to add some credible info. Back late winter I bought an inventory from an older gentleman that used to do structural repair work, mostly Cessna 100 series. Among the inventory, I was pleased to see a new old stock complete tailcone assembly PN# 0591200-4 (see fi...

Re: FORWARD...INTO THE FUTURE... (Daylight Savings Chg today

About 27 years ago, I had a coworker buddy that had never been turkey hunting. Back then the spring forward time change happened in April, usually the opening weekend of turkey season. Well, we had spent a few weeks scouting and found the perfect place to be when they flew off the roost in the morni...

I really miss blueldr. I'm certain his answer to the thread title would be a water soluble product  Then......he wouldn't stop there; he'd shame George for not having a case of it on his nightstand

Re: New AD (lwr strut/doorpost area) NOT Applicable to 170s.

To illustrate the difference in the affected later model 172's vs. the earlier model 172's........ For the 172 series, the AD is effective beginning with serial number 17272885, which is the last year of the "N" model. Difference is obvious. Cessna 172N pre-72885.PNG Cessna 172N 72885 and ...

Re: Correct parts are essential

George,
After a bit of research, I find the G15/600-6 tube to be the correct tube for the 6.00-6 tire, but not the only correct tube.

Richard, I'm going to fess up here.............remember when I bought you a new set of Cleveland wheels and brakes, after Darryl accidentally splashed some paint stripper on your relatively new Cleveland wheels and brakes??? Well, I didn't replace the tires or tubes (they were only a year old), but ...
