Fun story Vic! Sounds like you had a good trip and what a way to do it.... in a VINTAGE Cessna 170! On my trips to Oshkosh there are a few places where I talk to a tower and when they ask what type instead of just saying Cessna... I always add Cessna One Seven Zero. Thanks for the fun story.

That is about where mine kicks in (1500/1600). So taxing out for take-off with all my radios and lights on is not good. When I get to the runup area I useally turn it all on and run the rpm up to that range.

Eric, My old GPS 90 HAD to have the antenna up on the glare shield and so when I located this GPSIII here I was concerned. So far it has worked great!
