Abe,
Those shots are some of the best wildlife photos I have ever seen. They'll make a great screensaver.

I did my checkride in the 50's with that setup in a champ. Maybe they got the decimal point in the wrong place. 5.1 pounds would be close.

Someone posted a note on pacificnorthwestflyers.com that he had stopped in a few days ago and it was in the process of closing up shop. Too bad.

Re: AIRCRAFT INSURANCE
I've been with Travers for several years with Old Republic as the carrier and just got my new policy. The only change it that I'm getting a little long in the tooth and the require a twelve month medical. No big deal. She said for $300 more she had another carrier that would waive the medical. I wen...

Re: 2009 Calendar Photos
My non pilot flying inthusist friend asked me if the 170 in on the June calendar was landing or taking off. She thought the flaps were in landing position(sorry folks, shes used to my ragwing). I took a look and said take off, then noticed the elevator. Seems maybe landing. Being a wheels only type ...

Re: PIREP's on Seat Stop SB?
I had mine installed yesterday. Only three flights so far and it works good. I notice that when moving the seat back to exit the plane, I need to rock forward slightly to as I pull up on the latch in order to release the cog on the rachet. No big deal, and, as was said before, its free. The FBO in S...

Re: tail wheel and Tube replacement in the "Bush"
On the way to the 170 convention in Tahachipi I stopped in Redding for fuel. I felt the thumping of a flat tail wheel tire as I got out on the taxiway. I pulled into the grass and found an old piece of steel plate rolled up in a ball against the bob wire fence. It was one of those plates that was us...
