That would be awesome. I just entered some conservative numbers based on my experience with 39A. Just flew it from San Luis Obispo, Ca to Red Oak, Iowa. Great flight! And ForeFlight was a great asset.

So, hi-jacking the thread a bit :) Planning a 170 trip from San Luis Obispo, Ca to Omaha, Ne via Scottsdale, Northern NM and Central Kansas. Does anyone know if the smoke is affecting VFR flights in those general areas? I'm planning for mid Sep so, I know it's a bit far off but.....starting to plan ...

I just spray it on a rag and wipe down the dirty areas. Soot comes off and it leaves the paint looking good.

Well, I love flying 'em as well but having George along on cross country flights and the occasional light IFR ride would be awesome

As long as the passenger is briefed accordingly, and you're within W&B, there should have no issues. Look at it this way....that ride may have changed the way the youth looks at his future and will result in a change for the better. Isn't that what Young Eagles is all about?
