Problem downloading 337's....anybody have this problem?
Trying to download a couple of 337's, and I keep getting a message that says... "We're sorry, but there was a problem down loading your requested file. Please click" and that is all it says. I am trying to do this on an IPad, is that the problem? Any suggestions? I have tried Safari and Go...

Re: float kit install question
I've added AK175-12P "Hoisting Provisions" to the Maintenance Library. It doesn't include the C-170 in the "Models Affected" list but does include the early model C-172. It should be "acceptable data" for a major alteration I would think. Thank You for your reply!!! I ...

float kit install question
During the process of removing wings, carry through spars and cleaning up some corrosion, i found one od the rear carry through spar blocks with a drill bit sticking out of it. Apparently while drilling the holes through the block for the eyebolt, they misdrilled it and just left it. are their any k...

Problem downloading documents.
Every time I try to down load a 337 from the website, all I see is this statement at the top of the page
"We're sorry, but there was a problem downloading your requested file. Please click"
Am I the only one having this issue? I have tried Explorer and Chrome.

Re: Forward carry through spar
This airplane has spent the majority of its life in Arizona, but tied down outside. Never seen a hangar until I got it. Flight records and FAA a records show owners in Midwest for a few years then out here to AZ. Lots of dust in the aircraft that didn't help I am sure. The scary part is the rear win...

Re: Forward carry through spar
Corrosion is caused by more than the storage-environment of the home-field. Airplanes flown in rain, or humid destinations,....wash-jobs... ...leaving the ground, going up to altitude, descending back through temperature-levels for 60 years....with moisture-exhaling occupants... creates condensatio...

Re: Forward carry through spar
Photos? I will resize my photos and try to get them on tonight. After removal of the tank in the right wing I found two rivet heads corroded of on the forward half of the rear spar attach point. Drilled them out last night and the spar attach plates on the wing side of the rear attach point are cor...

Re: Forward carry through spar
Well upon closer inspection with the fuel tank out and after a good cleaning, I find three rivet heads corroded off on the rear spar attach point on the wing. This is the front side facing the tank. Only light surface corrosion on the spar strap and surrounding skin.....this area would be impossible...

Re: Forward carry through spar
Well I got the fuel tank out ........35 minutes to get all the screws out..... Not bad.....cut off wheel on die grinder, grind a slot in every screw for a big blade screw driver to fit into.....loosen the screws and if you were wise enough to have cut the slot lined up with one of the Phillips head ...

Re: Forward carry through spar
If you're going that far, I'd consider replacing the few electrical wires in the wings and roof. Much easier with it all open Might even pull wires for a second landing light and strobes since you're there. Ha ha you read my mind! I dug out all my strobe stuff last night that I've been saving up fo...
