Millenium cyclinders
I had Millenium Cyclinders added to our engine when it was rebuilt by Mattituck two years ago. They are as smooth as silk, and oil consumption was down dramatically. The only problem was that my mechainic had to replace the Millenium valve cover with the original continental on the forward most cycl...

Paint
Hi Everybody, We are having two coats of Silver Metallic, two coats of red trim, and a "clear coat' put on our 170. The shop says that it will weigh between 20-25 pounds. A think this will be a small trade off, I was losing that, every time that I did a stem to stern polish job. Lou La Salle N2...

The entire a/c tarnishes within days of being polished. I am 65 NM from the ocean, by in high humidity NJ. The underside of the win...

Good Luck
Mark,
Good Luck to you! 170's are fun to fly, and attract a lot of attention on the ground. Where will you be based? I fly into Goodspeed and Madisin/Griswold on occasion. Email me at loulasalle@pfizer.com sometime
and we can get together and compare notes

Pro's and Con's
Hi All, I'm new to the forum, but have owned (and Polished) our 170B for 9 years. It's tough work, and expensive. A decent shine requires 40 hours of work with a Heavy Duty buffer ($300 new). When you get to the tail, the nose is ready to me polished again. My wife Patty(she is a 170 driver& pol...
