I installed a set of Dip Davis' latches on a 140 that I used to own. I thought they were brilliant in their simplicity and they were very easy to install. As I recall, it took maybe an hour and a half to install all four. Once installed, they were very secure in flight.

There is a STC for a O-470 on a Stinson 108-3 which would be relatively comparable. It's a real go getter for short field op's. Bill N76447

If it is in fact coming from the generator it would likely be the generator shaft seal that is leaking. The seal is inexpensive and is fairly easy to replace. Bill
