Good one! I hadn't heard those. :D

They are simply a collection of parts flying in close formation...:D

Gotta love them though. :D

Oh yeah. I could throw a half dozen model helicopter pictures out here and most people wouldn't have a clue what they were called. :D As soon as I read this I felt like an idiot, because I DO know that a 180 has a straight tail. Just didn't think to look at that particular aircraft to note wh...

I forgot to write it down. It had great climb perfomance and sounded like a bunch of ticked off be...

Joe, That would be great. Give me as much notice as you can. My Schedule is hectic, but I will make time to meet with you. :D Hopefully we can find a day that works for all of us. :D Got stuck at the fire station on mandatory overtime today. My kids are NOT happy. Hard to tell a 9 and 7 year ...

Sounds about right Olan. :D I agree 100% the airport was really great when I moved here with my folks in the early 80's since then it has gone downhill. I am not kidding if I ever come up with the $$$ I am going to make the owners an offer they can't refuse. :D Build a big house on the east side and...

No houses anytime soon. Like I said last time I heard there was a problem with the utilities. I think they are trying to make it an Airpark, but like I said the managers have been a tad flakey at times. Too bad about the cold shoulder. The guys I flew with there were all pretty cordial. If I had bee...

Eric, This guy was an old timer (no offence) he flew 170's years ago not recently. The Port Orchard Airport....Mis managed mess is what it is. We used to fly R/C out there but the owner got greedy and wanted to build houses. If you notice on the NW side of the airport there is a whole area cleared o...

Funny

Mike, That is one of the photographers that inspired my partner into this. :D Our disadvantage right now is that I am the only pilot of the two of us and Steve is the photographer. :D So we need to fly with 2 people for awhile at least until we can get Steve trained and capable of doing solo work. T...

Thanks

We plan on trying with just the window open, but our future plans and equipment may require that we have more space in which the photographer can position the camera. Like I said before we are not looking at the average photographs for fun or the more "technical" type of work (thermography...

So question.

Mike, So where can I find one of these blast deflectors? Also I take it you had the photographer in a harness or did he/she wear a chute? If so where did you get the harness and how did it attach to the aircraft? This is the kind of info I am looking for. First hand stuff. :D You guys are great. The...

R22

Not an option anymore. I am 50lbs over the max seat weight.
I have also done enough flying in R22's to know I don't want to ever get in one again let alone own one.
I am going Turbine when the time comes to get a helicopter. :D

I am going to call Joe on Monday and setup a day to meet with us.

Yep

Eric, So how did it get in the way? Are you flying solo and shooting with the door on or off? Our intention is to fly whatever with the door off and a photographer in the right seat. Orbits to the right and shoot off the trailing edge of the wing for all shots. Does that sound like it would work? Th...
