transponder antenna
Is there a best location to locate the transdonder antenna. Is it legal to mount it on one of the circular covers on the belly of the plane. There are a couple of locations that seem well clear of control cables etc. What do you think Thanks G

legal exterior lighting
I have strobes on each wing tip and on the rudder. Do I also need an anti-collision light on the back or belly of the fuselage?????????Thanks Gary

sorry slow to get back to ya. My cousin is an ame and float plane guy and we put in solid bushing so I wouldn't expect any droop in the mounts tho as they say I have been wrong before. cowl air filter conflict
Fitting the cowl I am finding the air filter frame is quite tight against the cowl opening. How much clearance do I need so I don't damage the cowl or air filter holder frame. I would expect the engine needs to have room to rock a little within the cowl. What do you think G

Fasteners for vert stab high shear bolts/washers
I was asking about the high shear bolts and washer for the vert stab and you folks advised me where to get new ones. Well they have arrived and some of you had indicated you needed some washers. Well I got 20 to spare so let me know and I will send them on Thanks again for all your help G

I am just reviewing notes from Bel and Jim . You note the dash numbers are different . two bolts with dash 6 but Jim I think you list dash 9and Bella, dash 11. Wondering about bolts to fasten aft vert stab to empenage. In the IPC figure 13 shows attachment of "Fitting rear spar lower " with bolt NAS145-14s and NAS145-18. These are like big allen key bolts with hex socket in heads. Are these special and/or could regular AN bolts also be used? Than...
