Re: 48 170 fuel pump costs

thanks for the info. my pump internally is so corroded that an exacto knife went right thru the aluminum middle housing so I need to find the "marine " pump I guess and see what I think. part 91 lets me spec the parts to qualify for install I believe. thanks again

Re: 172 exhaust system on 48

thanks, I am the IA, A+P 40+ years now but mostly helicopter. Yes my lower cowl has very well done (bump outs) previously installed. Yes I think this Cessna kit will be my legal out. Not worried about the safety just the legal end of things. again thanks. mike

Re: '48 Fuel pump one way valve

This is interesting. Can somebody confirm which way the actual valve should be oriented? The valve/slug orientation is what I am after.

Re: Jury strut alignment

Thanks for the pictures. I think I’ve narrowed it down to “home made” Jury on one side that isn’t aligning very close at all. What appears to be a factory piece is fair at best. I’m going to have to cut them apart, align them on the aircraft and tig them back together. They are painfully out of whac...

Re: Fuselage inspection plates

My IPC has illustrations 15/16. I do not show a 15-2. Are any more common Cessna 172’s inspection plates compatible with the early 170’s? I’ve searched the part numbers above and don’t see them anywhere for sale. Thanks.

Fuselage inspection plates

What type of inspection plates are correct for the underside of the fuselage on a 1948 Rag? I’m missing some plates under the cabin area on the “belly”. Thanks.
