Installed new O rings and a small amount of fuel lube, installed the new primer and I’m back in business.
Thanks everyone!

Re: Leaking primer
Gary,
That isn’t my primer but it probably works the same way. I’ll see if that’s a cap at the end of the barrel. Makes sense to me.
Thanks guys!!

Re: Leaking primer
What do you mean by “blows fuel out the back”? Do you mean the B-nuts on the connecting lines? Or do you mean the body of the primer? Is it possible you cracked a B-nut when over-torquing it?l. Or perhaps the copper fuel-line has cracked at it’s flare (such as copper often does after long service a...

Leaking primer
Hello All, Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! I recently replaced the O-rings in my primer. All was well for about a month. Now, when I use the primer, it blows fuel out the back! I took it back apart, ORings look fine, used a very small amount of fuel lube, checked the bore and reassembled, same ...

STOL kit contents
53C has a STOL kit that, I believe is Midwest which I think became Horton? Anyway, I have come across some original metal wheel pants and wondered if the STOL STC included wheel pants other than the original type?
Thanks in advance

Re: No oil temp
Be absolutely certain to use the adaptor which comes with the gauge you install. Don't mix them. I removed the old gauge and replaced it with a Rochester. You could tell the difference in quality immediately. Don't care for the dual scales...yet..but it is working. On the subject of adapters I know...

Re: No oil temp
I've always used/recommended the Rochester units on Continentals and never had a problem with them. Can you think of a reason the AVox gauge wouldn't work? Quality? Probe length? Not without close inspection by an instrument shop. Sounds as if there's either a quality-control or installation issue....

No oil temp
Hello all, I had 53C out this weekend to try and solve the mystery of no oil temp. This is the second gauge I have replaced. The last one showed nothing and then would suddenly snap to 210-220 degrees. This one just shows nothing. They are the mechanical gauges from Spruce made by Avox. I’m at a los...

Re: LED upgrade landing light
I ordered mine form Goodies for Pilots as well. I have been very happy with them. I don't fly much at night. Mine are on all the time because of traffic. 53C has a landing and taxi bulb on the same switch.
