Serrated Goodyear actuator replacement (1948 170)
I had a soft right brake that wasn't getting better with servicing so, I decided to overhaul the master cylinders. After inspection and referring to The 170 page, I realized I need to update mine IAW SNL "Master Cylinder Changes". This replaces mine with 0541138-2 and -1. My question is, w...

GoPro mount on dome light?
Has anyone 3D printed a GoPro mount using the mounting location of the dome light? I like taking kids up for rides and giving them a video would be a great memento. I have the simple dome light with integrated switch, 1948 Ragwing.

Rear bulkhead / headliner bow?
I have '48 170. The headliner was removed a couple years back and I've had another one sewn up. My question is, is there a "bow" that clips into the clips on the rear bulkhead? I have the other bows but, seem to be confused on how it's attached to the rear area behind the hat rack. I have ...

'48 Fuel Selector Valve Questions
I have a 1948 170 SN 18549 The airplane has been in my family since 1989. My IA has issue with the fuel selector valve "feel". It also has a little blue staining as well. My question is what the fuel selector valve should feel like when switching between tanks. I've always been content wit...

Thanks all for the replies, this makes much more sense. This is essentially what my upholster recommended.

'48 Headliner around fuel gauges
I have a 1948 170, I'm having a new headliner made. When I removed my headliner the fabric was sandwiched between the fuel gauge and the tank. This seems like a good point of failure. Is this standard practice? or is there a better solution?

Replacement Ivory Knob window latch?
Hello all, I'm looking to replace the plastic knob on my window latch. Does anyone know of a replacement? I assume this could be a 3D printed part. Unfortunately, mine are both missing so I'm unable to replicate. I'm recovering the seats and would prefer the latches not tear up my new seat upholster...

Re: Panel Tinnerman nut??? A6187-8z-3
Cory, I think you're right. I assumed (we all know what that's an acronym for) that since the other IPC's showed "8Z" for the size of that A6187 tinnerman that this was a misprint in the B model IPC. It appears that the misprint may actually be in the straight 170 and 170A IPC's. The corr...

Re: Panel Tinnerman nut??? A6187-8z-3
There are THREE different models of 170s…. when referring to IPC pages/figures….it would be VERY helpful to know to which you are referring. After searching them all … Pg 60 of the ragwing IPC covers these parts. (Please mention WHICH IPC you are discussing when identifying parts) ... George...

Re: Panel Tinnerman nut??? A6187-8z-3
I think my instrument panel braces are owner-produced. Could someone with a '52 or older 170 let me know where the front of those braces attach? I had to replace, what I believe, you are describing "panel brace" and mine was attached with one of the rivets on the windshield flange. I owne...
