Frame/Wing Fatigue/Life
I was reading an article in Aviation Safety Magazine last week.
Apparently some aircraft have life limits.
Wing life limits, etc. The Cessna 170 was not mentioned.
My aircraft is a 52B/180 hp.
Any and all comments appreciated.

Tire Pressures
Hello Again Everyone,
I have another question. This time on tire pressures.
I have 8.00 x 6 tires on 8018A.
Being new to tail-wheel and oversized tires, how does one
decide what pressures to use in the tires??

Air Speed Indicators
I have my first question for all you experienced 170 owners. I have noticed my ASI sets a few ticks counterclockwise from 360. I had my mechanic check it with some sort of thing he has that does that kind of readout. Obviously I was not with him or I would know a little more. Anyway, it seem to be w...

OK eatin places
My 2 cents. Wiley Post, in OKC. On field, has a really good breakfast and lunch. They close at 2pm. Ponca City, OK has a place on field, have not been there. Old military base outside Ardmore, OK at Gene Autry has a place that seems to change hands frequently. Dalhart, Tx has this tiny 5 booth place...

Greg, I have wanted to become a tailwheel guy for long time. I just sold my comanche250 and bought a 170/180hp. I did not necessarly have a bias although I looked at 170s some time ago, and kept comming back to them. Fixed costs and performance were my criteria. I spend time in NE New Mexico, and ne...

"A" Model vs "B" model air speed
Hello, I am beginning to shop for a 170. I found some stats on air speed. Why is the A-model rated at 106kts, and the B-Model at 114 knots??? Also, the service ceiling was higher on the A-model?? What did the company do to change the speed?? Is there something different about the wing?? Dennis Dodd ...
