First flight report and generator problem
I got to fly 8180A this morning after an 8 month restoration, overhaul, paint and many upgrades. The overhauled engine ran great. The initial flight was about 45 minutes until the rings seated and the cylinder temps started to come down and stabilize. My new CGR-30 kept a close eye on the temps. The...

Non TSO'd Instruments
In the hanger today we were talking about non-TSO'd instruments. I have been reading through several forums online and there seems to be a lot of confusion on the subject. I am looking for the regulatory reference if it required for part 91. Basically, could I put a Falcon altimeter in my 170? I saw...

Mag Rite Engine Timer?
Does anyone know anything about the Mag-Rite? I was thinking about getting one for my tool box and placed an order a couple weeks ago. I have not heard anything and they do not return phone calls or emails. I talked to ATS today, who used to carry them, and they said they have had the same problem. ...

Order 25 feet for both doors. I ordered mine through Aircraft Spruce. They have it packaged in 25ft sections for ~$60.

Re: Door Seal
I followed George's advise this past week and my door seals turned out great. :D The 1300L is much easier to work with if you thin it with MEK. I also used the same process to install some chafe tape around my cowl. The only thing you have to watch out for with MEK is be careful not to get too much ...

Re: Tail Wheel Channel Replacement
Yes. I only replaced the old retainer channel #8 with a new one. I was thinking acceptable data in this case would be falling back to AC 43.13 since I cannot find any other reference to this part.

I have two Zulu 2's and a Zulu 3! They are great. I used to use the Bluetooth all the time to listen to music and receive phone calls. Know I have a Bluetooth audio panel but the ANR on the Zulu's still work great.

Tail Wheel Channel Replacement
Hi guys, *Warning Legality Question* :) Hopefully I am not overthinking this. I recently replaced my broken tail wheel channel (0510000-31) with a new one from Air Repair. IPC page 54, Figure 29 number 8. I am catching up on my logs. What would I use for the approved data for replacing this part? I ...
