Re: Halogen landing light
In Nov 2020 I installed the LED landing light I ordered from "Goodies for Pilots". It throws fantastic lighting, so much better than the old GE4509.

Re: Yoke and Yoke Shaft Refinishing
Brian, Back in 1988 when I did my yokes, I did powder coat black on he handles and auto chrome shop job on the shafts. I wanted to be legal on attaching them together so I ordered the long rivets from Cessna at $22 each. So $88 spent. The did not seem like anything special but I never did try to see...

Halogen landing light
Recently I met a 170 owner (not a member) in Antacortes Wa. at his airport there. He explained to me that his halogen landing light bulb that replaced the old 100 watt leading edge light needed no "device/adapter" in the electrical supply line. Do any of you know what the brand and part nu...

Re: Fuel pump or no fuel pump
Ghostflyer wonders why people are removing fuel pumps. I will only speak to 170s, 170, 170A, 170B, not to all Cessna's. I bought my 170 (rag wing) in 1976 (and still have it). There was no fuel pump on it. It was illegal !! The equipment list requires it. It flew fine and I saw late the "requir...

Re: anyone recognize this seat belt buckle?
Yuppers on that. I've seen many in Cessna 172s and 177s from the 70s and 80s. It is for the diagonal belt that was on an inertia reel that was mounted up over the door aft, to go to the lap belt with that clasp you showed. The male part is on the end of the pull out strap. Duane Shockey

Airforms Baffling
Has anyone purchased the entire baffling kit from "Airforms Inc" ? Did it allow your cowling to go on without obstruction? Since I just had my O-300 overhauled I spent the $1537. for the new baffles. They are beautiful with the powder coating that was an extra $150. I am having difficulty ...
