rear seat removal

once upon a time I had a copy of the letter of authorization for the pilot to remove the rear seat.

Can some one please point me to the link to that letter?

or provide a copy to nc19143@comcast.net

Deeply grateful

Re: Windshield "V" brace

As nice as it is to know all this data on a 180/182 it does not pertain to a 170.

Re: Windshield "V" brace

I talked to Cessna tech this AM, they say no, they never made them for the 170. Attlee Dodge makes them, they have PMA for their 180 version but their web page does not say they do for the 170. How does the addition of a "V" brace constitute a major alteration? Quote 43-A(a) Major alterati...

Windshield "V" brace

What is the part number? who makes it? it is not in the Cessna 170 IPB. Cessna tech does not have a part number or a blue print. What paper work should be applied if one is installed? have your reference ready, no guesses, no opinions, I need a solid answer that is FAA acceptable.

Re: Continental O300C oil pan

Of course there is a better way. Or at least as good as these are now 50 something years old. But the market is not big enough for anyone to recover there investment in th cost of certification. Again regulation kills aviation. When I hand you a exact duplicate of a 0-300 sump. you have your A&...

Re: Paint Shops in the Northwest?

Removing the wings is a big job, but that's not the problem, how are you going to support them while they are being painted? Wing fixtures are rare and difficult to build. Other wise two saw horses and paint one side at a time and have a paint over lap to buff out. that will tie up the paint booth f...

Re: Good news and bad news for our 170s

Thanks, Del. I was thinking along those lines when I wondered if IAs should be checking for a valid registration, but you've taken it a step further by ordering the CD. Many owners and pilots misunderstand the full meaning of airworthiness and what their responsibilities are. This is where a consci...

Re: Carb???

I'm pretty sure they worked out whatever issue there was with the one piece venturis a lng time ago. I exchanged an old carb for an overhauled one through Chief Aircraft 9 years ago, and I'd my engine ran like a top until that Cherokee knocked the float bowl off of the throttle body... "Smart&...

Re: Importing from Canada

I have helped import several aircraft from Canada, you must request an N number from the FAA.and then apply it to the aircraft. Then you must do the AD and Annual requirements for airworthiness. Canada requires SBs to be complied with, so any AD should have been a SB prior to becoming an AD down her...

Re: aircraft primer

This is the best primer for metal I have found, It ships Haz Mat free, it is water born, your equipment cleans up with soap and water, what's left over in your gun goes back into the can. (no wasted paint) This primer can be over coated by any paint system, Randolph, Emron or any other URA product c...

Re: Dual Venturi to Vacuum Regulator Plumbing

The regular goes between the gyro and the venturi.

If you have two ventures both go to the regulator then to the gyros.
