Re: Tall pilot in a 170?

I am 6'4" and 230 and fit just fine...well..I guess saying fine is related to your definition of COZY. I fly often with someone that is also my size and yes it is a little bit snug, but not uncomfortable at all. I tried getting in a 150 before I got my 170 and realized about 1/2 way in, that it...

Re: Door latch repair (Catch PN 0411552 Split topic)

I know about the STC and would like to find the latches at some point, but I'm just trying to fix the problem at hand so I can keep flying and keep looking for the other parts.

Re: Door latch repair (Catch PN 0411552 Split topic)

I just had the same part break on my passenger door. Does anyone have any aluminum ones laying around?
I have been searching and hope someone has found some. Please let me know ASAP. It's hard to fly holding
the passenger door shut. :-)

I have been following the thread with anticipation and once the paperwork is in order, how long until they will be available for purchase? I'm ready.......

Re: Aqua 2200 floats

Those floats aren't by chance in the Fairbanks area? Good luck on the field approval.
I tried and was denied. STC or else misery.

Re: AQUA 2200 FLOATS

All of this would be a real simple fix if some kind soul would sell me their Wip 2100's or PK B2300's for
a FAIR price. And by FAIR, I mean CHEAP! Ha.....that does not happen much when it comes to airplane stuff!

Re: AQUA 2200 FLOATS

There is not one pilot that I have talked with that said the EDO 2000's had plenty of float. All said they seemed under floated when flying at max. The floats seemed very low in the water and having a little extra float is a good thing. Like I stated before, I am just trying to see if I can get thes...

Re: AQUA 2200 FLOATS

2130's are very hard to find and still pose the same problems of the AQUA's....getting a field approval. The choices for the 170 with no additional issues are: EDO 2000 (on the TC and reasonable cost) - Wipline 2100 (STC'd and hard to find used) - PK B2300 (STC'd and very hard to find). I know this ...

AQUA 2200 FLOATS

I want to install a set of Aqua 2200 floats on my 170. They were previously installed and field approved on a different 170 back in 1997. I have the old 337 from that field approval and can't get / find any other documentation to back up that install. I have contacted Aqua and they don't have any pa...
