This happened to me this past weekend. Took off and didn't get a mile from the airport and it started flopping in the wind. Turned around landed, latches were still latched. I added a screw and went back on my way. It did rip the door just a little below the latch.

So i bought these handles and went to put them on today but the splines are deep in the handle and the splines on the shaft are about a half in away from the end so i coulnt get them to catch. Any tips to get these to work?

I actually have been over there a few times, couple solo flights last year with our 182H. Hauled home some guns ....55 off them to be exact. Was a full load and interesting ride! I probably be over there again in a few weeks I'll look you up.

I did catch that the parking brakes are an issue, that was one of the first things I check. I plan on removing it before I get a free ride. Im out on business traval for two weeks in orlando so I have endless hours to read up on little upgrades that she needs and making notes. Can't wait to get home...
