I recall there used to be a guy in the C120/140 group that would make mousetrap springs too. I bought a pair from him probably 7-8 years ago. His contact info is probably buried deep someplace here on the forum also.

A new Garmin 335GTX ADS-B OUT transponder. Also removed the old ADF antenna to install the required GPS antenna in its place.

Thanks for doing the research on these old vacuum pumps. I wonder, for those of us running under the belt-driven pump STC which also requires the nose bowl from an early 172 to be installed, if at some point in the future we ditch the pump and go the way of either electric or Venturi are we strictly...

Done, Bruce! You should have a series of emails with about 20 pictures or so. I'll let you post some of them here if you want. I'm going to attempt surgery on this thing later this morning. I'll keep everyone posted on the prognosis.

So I removed the stall warning unit this evening and checked for continuity across the posts. There was none. Also, the light bulb was burned out. I disassembled the unit, separating the light assembly from the buzzer component. I checked continuity between the single-strand copper wire that ran fro...

Thank you, Gary. An "open" within the buzzer/light assembly sounds like the likely culprit. I'll have to pull it all out to know for sure. Unfortunately, it's a somewhat challenging task as my shock panel isn't original and completely covers my stall warning buzzer. I may have to pull the ...

Hi folks, I'm reviving an old thread here... To confirm, if I probe for voltage at EITHER post on the rear of the buzzer unit with the master switch ON, I should see about 12 volts, yes? I'm currently getting voltage from only one post, which makes me think there's likely a short within the buzzer. ...

Tempest for me (massive electrode), mostly because they're typically a little bit cheaper per plug than Champions are. At least, that's how it's been every time I've needed a full set of 12.
