Original UC-61 was powered by a werner 145. Upgrades were to the Ranger 220. This is the only known Jake powered 245 UC-61 known to me. Owned by My Dad and Joe Hauk....Sweet flying aircraft. Helen Keller could drive this thing....

Tom, you've got a lot of experience with Warner engines. What's your opinion of how good the combination of a 170 airframe and a Warner 145 would have been? Like Bruce said...not original, although, an original, with the sheath wearing on the wire can give the same feel. Something to give a second look at.

Having your airplane 50 steps away from your back door is a God send. With me, that's also where I work. Sometimes, work just never goes away....At least Jan knows where I am... :D
